Fruit Acid Peel

Environmental influences and genetic factors can negatively affect skin‘s appearance, leading to insecurities about the way our skin looks and feels. Wrinkles, impurities, acne scars, dry or lackluster skin, pigmentation, and age spots can make our skin look uneven, pale, and unhealthy. A beneficial solution to these problems is treatment with fruit acids, which can lead to firmer and smoother skin.

Fruit acids belong to the family of alphahydroxy acids, or “AHA” for short. These are organic acids that naturally occur in fruit and other plants. Included among these acids are glycolic acid, citric acid, lactic acid, malic acid and tinic acid. Glycolic acid in particular works effectively at improving skin structure because, due to its small molecular size, it can easily penetrate the skin.

A glycolic acid peel is a special technique of skin renewal. In this process, the top layer of dead skin is removed by a high concentration of glycolic acid, which causes the skin to peel. The underlying skin is then revealed, appearing fresher and healthier. Furthermore, the deeper skin layers are stimulated for regeneration by the peeling away of the dead upper skin cells. The skin surface not only appears healthier but also firmer in the course of the process.

  • Stimulation of cell metabolism and collagen production
  • Reduction of skin creases

The fruit acid peeling is applied to the skin with a brush and acts on the skin for a few minutes. Old layers of skin are removed after a short time. Subsequently, the skin is soothed with a cooling mask, and, finally, a nourishing cream and sun protection are applied.

No. During the application of fruit acid, a feeling of tension in the skin can sometimes occur.

After treatment, the skin will begin to peel within a few days. It is crucial to use sunscreen for the care of the skin during and after treatment. In case of insufficient sun protection or strong exposure to the sun, the formation of new pigment spots is stimulated and thus the desired treatment result is adversely affected. From the time of treatment, you should avoid visiting the sauna and solarium for four weeks. Additional creams and cosmetics can also affect the result. Vitamin A-containing drugs and other substances that influence pigment formation should be avoided for four weeks.

Itching, redness, and swelling disappear within a few days.

As a rule, no downtime is expected. You can perform your daily activities as usual.
