GENIUS^® Mini-Lifting

GENIUS® is a revolu­tionary system for collagen regene­ration using radio­fre­quency micro­needling. With the help of micro­needles, thermal energy is directed into the middle layer of the skin. The depth and amount of energy delivered during the treatment can be precisely controlled. Who should not get an GENIUS^® treatment?

The treatment is not recom­mended for those with:

• Skin rashes, skin diseases (e.g., herpes, eczema, neuro­der­ma­titis), skin allergies
• Patients under­going treatment (e.g., Roaccutane, photo­sen­si­tising medication, vitamin A tablets)
• Strong tanning
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Ideally, the skin should not be tanned for the appli­cation. Therefore, it is recom­mended to avoid sunbathing and solarium for about 4 weeks before and 6 weeks after the treatment.

The treatment is suitable for patients who want a fresher and more vitalised complexion and a signi­ficant tightening of the skin tissue without surgery. The skin not only experi­ences a short-term lifting effect, but also a progressive impro­vement in skin structure and tone in the weeks that follow. Furthermore, the appli­cation is suitable for large and small treatment areas, as well as for scarred and stressed tissue.

The procedure is minimally invasive and does not require a long recovery time. It is therefore parti­cu­larly suitable for people who want to resume their daily routine quickly.

GENIUS® can be used on the face, neck, décolleté and body. This also includes the upper and lower eyelids, inner thighs, knees, arms, stomach and intimate areas. Thanks to variable attach­ments, both large and parti­cu­larly small areas (such as wrinkles around the eyes) can be treated.

1. Preli­minary discussion /​consul­tation:

At the beginning of the first session, our expert will have a consul­tation with you. This will determine your desired result and the treatment area, as well as whether GENIUS® Mini-Lifting is suitable for you. We will inform you about possible risks and the realistic results you can expect. We will then agree on the type and duration of the GENIUS® treatment before starting in order to achieve optimum results.

2. Before the treatment:

After the consul­tation, the session is started and the treatment area is cleaned and an anaes­thetic ointment is applied. The system is confi­gured accordingly.

3. During treatment:

The Macro handpiece is guided over the skin with the needle attachment. Thanks to the multi-stage approach, the treatment can be indivi­dually adapted to the skin colour and skin type. The radio­fre­quency energy is applied directly into the subcuta­neous tissue using the finest microneedles.

4. After the treatment:

The skin may be slightly reddened and swollen after the treatment. A mask is used to cool the skin and reduce the redness. We do not recommend applying make-up until the following day.

The system contains variable attach­ments and enables a wide range of results. In general, skin elasticity is increased and a clear complexion is achieved. Enlarged pores and wrinkles, as well as stretch marks and scars, are reduced accor­dingly. The laser has a deep effect, which promotes the skin's regene­ration process and cell renewal - so the results are also visible in the weeks that follow.

The individual results depend on the reason for the treatment, the treatment goal and the chosen form of therapy. We recommend 3 to 5 treat­ments at intervals of 4 weeks to achieve optimum results. However, visible results are already achieved after the first session.

Using intel­ligent radio frequency (RF), the GENIUS® system can deliver thermal energy into the deeper skin layer via insulated micro­needles. Thanks to a revolu­tionary technology in RF micro­needling, the impedance of the tissue is automa­ti­cally controlled. The tissue can be treated with a precise energy output regardless of the skin resistance. This creates coagu­lation areas that promote the corre­sponding new formation of collagen and elastin.

A burning or stinging sensation may occur during the treatment - however, the sensation of pain varies from person to person. To prevent this, an anaes­thetic ointment is applied before each treatment. GENIUS® has also been developed with flow needling so that the patient experi­ences the highest possible level of comfort. In addition, the treatment area is cooled with a cryo device and a mask is applied to reduce redness.

Experience has shown that the treatment is very well tolerated.

The treatment area may be reddened or swollen after the session or a skin rash may occur. Experience has shown that these side effects subside a few hours after the treatment.

Risks can occur with any minimally invasive procedure, such as swelling or bruising. These compli­ca­tions are extremely rare and we will be happy to advise you before the treatment whether GENIUS® Mini-Lifting is suitable for your desired goals.

The recovery time depends on the treatment area, skin quality and form of therapy - but is usually minimal. After the treatment, the skin's self-healing powers are activated and it may be reddened. No make-up should be applied for 24 hours. In rare cases, tiny pinpricks are visible, which usually disappear after 1-2 days, but at the latest after 3-5 days.

Can I do sports after a GENIUS® treatment?

The skin is in the regene­ration process after the treatment - we therefore recommend that you do not take up sporting activities until the day after the treatment at the earliest.

The skin is often reddened after the treatment due to the micro-injuries and may also be slightly swollen depending on the intensity. Although the healing time is relatively short, we recommend not to stress the skin unneces­s­arily with physical activity, sauna visits or creams.

After a GENIUS® treatment, the results are visible immediately after the session or in a few weeks, depending on the form of therapy and treatment goal. Before the session, LED light therapy is used to improve cell metabolism and optimise tissue regene­ration. This promotes the success of the treatment.

For age-related causes such as wrinkles, coarse-pored and sagging skin, the GENIUS® system produces a direct skin tightening effect after the treatment which lasts for weeks after­wards. The skin is plump and clearly better supplied with blood. For lasting results, we recommend 3-5 sessions at intervals of 4 weeks.

In the case of scars, irregu­la­rities and scars caused by surgery, the results are long-lasting. In this case, we recommend at least 5 sessions at 4-week intervals.

In the case of pigmen­tation disorders and melasma, you will see an impro­vement after just 1-2 weeks.

Experience has shown that several sessions are recom­mended for stretch marks.

Can I enhance the GENIUS® results with additional treatments?

Yes, the treatment can be supple­mented with other methods such as micro­der­ma­brasion or LaseMD Ultra^TM therapy, depending on the treatment objective.

A major advantage of the GENIUS® system is its long-lasting effect, which is triggered by skin regene­ration. This unfolds over the following weeks: Dull skin becomes natural, fresh and radiant again. A coarse skin texture is refined. Acne and surgical scars are barely visible or signi­fi­cantly reduced, depending on their depth. Injured tissue (e.g. stretch marks) can be repaired.

Basically, success depends on the initial skin condition, the patient's lifestyle and expectations.

We recommend at least 3 to 5 treat­ments with GENIUS® to achieve the desired results. This also depends heavily on the initial condition of the skin. In our experience, optimum results can be achieved if the sessions are repeated over a period of 4 weeks.
